Really nice interview, Sarah! Very interesting concept about where a novella ends and a novel begins. Frankly, considering all the old pulp crime fiction, many today would’ve been called “novellas.” When I read CLEANING UP FINN I felt like I had enjoyed a fine novel; I really didn’t consider it a novella. I’m not a big fan of “tags” as you can see. 🙂

Thanks for commenting and sharing, Michael! Yes, it’s interesting to see how things get categorized over the years. The panel I was one a few months ago was exactly this discussion. We even played a game where we named popular classics that would actually be considered novellas by today’s standards. And thanks for the kind words about FINN!
