My post is up live today on Writing Wranglers & Warriors about the inspiration for my 50-word story on Blink-Ink. But first I treat you to a little history of Boston. And a picture of lobster.

What a fun weekend despite the rain on Saturday (and Basil computer breakdowns but that’s a different story entirely). It didn’t deter the book-loving crowds though! I had a blast hanging out with signing mates Lida Sideris, Tammy Kaehler, James Ziskin, and Nancy Cole Silverman at the Sisters in Crime booth. It was great to re-connect with old friends and meet new mystery lovers.
Yay! My favorite time of year is here…the LA Times Festival of Books. And what makes it even better is that I’ll be signing tomorrow, Saturday, April 9 at the Sisters in Crime booth from 1-2pm. That’s booth #367. I’ll have copies of Betty Fedora, Issue #2 and Ladies Night on hand.
And yes, it might rain. Wah wah. But no worries, Sisters in Crime has hoodies for sale. 🙂 I’ll be giving away Cleaning Up Finn swag so be sure to stop on by!
I received my contributor copy for Blink Ink’s issue #23 which is called Mystery Train. It includes 50-word stories that all have to do with trains. My story is called “Solo.” Since you need to subscribe to Blink Ink to read the issues (4 issues for 1 year is only $10 so by all means, subscribe if you wish!), I’ll post my story here. It’s a very cute artsy book that also has stories by pals Craig Faustus Buck and Gay Degani. Artwork is awesome as well.
