My flash fiction story “The Benevolent Man” is up live today on Spelk Fiction!
It’s a little different than what I usually write. It’s creepier and focuses on an extremely disturbed fellow. I was inspired to write it after reading a troubling blog post about a stalker/writer.
Hope you enjoy the read!
Noir at the Bar Seattle was a blast! I met so many talented and friendly writers like Brian Thornton, Michael Pool, Will Viharo, Frank Zafiro, Robert Dugoni, Jim Thomsen, Vince Keenan, and Eric Johnson. Of course, Danny Gardner is always great company and a fabulous reader. I’m glad I didn’t have to read after him. I’m forever grateful to Michael Pool for organizing such a fun event and hopefully I’ll be back next year when my novella CLEANING UP FINN (which I read an excerpt from) comes out! Cheers!

I’ll be at Noir at the Bar Seattle at The Alibi Room tonight, Dec. 9 at 7:00pm. Hope to see many of you Seattle-ites there. Looking forward to meeting new peeps and seeing old friends!
Today is release day for my short story “Sensible Sleaze” in Betty Fedora, Vol. 2, a short story collection featuring kickass women in crime fiction. I’m thrilled with the cool-looking cover and can’t wait to read the other stories. Purchase as e-book or print here: BETTY FEDORA, VOL. 2
I’m up today on Writing Wranglers & Warriors where I talk about the part of my personality – my book personality – that feels split down the middle. Kind of similar to my post about being an extroverted introvert. There’s definitely a theme with me.
And if you’re willing to read yet another Top Books of 2015 list, I offer my top 6.
It was so much fun last night to discuss all things noir with talented authors Michael Pool, Tom Pitts, Joe Clifford, Anonymous-9, Mike Monson, Rob Pierce, and Danny Gardner. Michael Pool was a fantastic host and many thanks to Pam Stack for organizing the event. If you missed it, don’t despair, you can still click on the link to hear all of us reading our stories and making fun of each other.
