Type M for Murder Guest Post

Today I’m honored to be up on Type M for Murder where I discuss what every writer needs or wants for the holidays. Books on writing! Actually, that’s a lie. At least for me it is.

A fantastic book (so I hear) that I am sadly not reading.

Thank you to Sybil Johnson, fellow former SinC/LA board member and frequent lunch pal, for the opportunity to babble on Type M.

MANHATTAN BEACH LIBRARY EVENT

The event at the Manhattan Beach Library Monday night 10/17 was really fun. Lida Sideris, Sybil Johnson, Jennifer Chow, and I discussed writing mysteries in the South Bay. We all live in the South Bay except for Lida who I didn’t realize grew up in Hermosa Beach.

Here are some pics. Manhattan Beach Library is a beautiful recently-renovated library.

Thanks to all who came!

GREAT PANEL LAST NIGHT @ WISEBURN LIBRARY

Sybil Johnson and I had a fantastic time talking to the book club at the Wiseburn Library in Hawthorne. What a wonderful lively group! We started off discussing our takes on what “light” and “dark” crime fiction is, but they wanted to know more about us and our writing process / journey. Imagine that. Thank you for a fun evening, ladies! And thank you to Wiseburn for being such gracious hosts.
