LA Times Festival of Books

It’s that time of year! The LA Times Festival of Books! I look forward to this every year and I’ll be there signing copies of The Night of the Flood and Cleaning Up Finn.

It’s this weekend Sat 4/21 – Sun 4/22 at the USC campus (boo! Go Bruins!) and there will be books everywhere plus food trucks, panels, kids stuff, poetry readings, and giveaways. It’s heaven for book lovers!

Come find me on Saturday 4/21:

Sisters in Crime – booth #367  1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Mystery Writers of America – booth #376   2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Mysterious Galaxy – booth #368   3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Hope to see you there!

FIRST FINN SIGNING TODAY AT MYSTERIOUS GALAXY

So today was the day…the first FINN signing and I lucked out with having it at my favorite bookstore, Mysterious Galaxy! OK, I kind of planned it that way. And I was able to share the limelight with awesome and talented fellow crime fiction author, S.W. Lauden. He maybe even managed to make me look not so freakishly weird and anxious because he’s cool like that.

It was a blast and even better…we sold books! If you want to order copies from an indie bookstore, call Mysterious Galaxy. They ship anywhere!

FIRST FINN SIGNING THIS SATURDAY!

My first FINN signing is this Memorial Day weekend at the best indie bookstore ever, Mysterious Galaxy San Diego! Come help me celebrate on Saturday, May 28 at 2pm.

I’ll be signing and discussing CLEANING UP FINN, published by All Due Respect Books along with awesomely-talented writer and friend, S.W. Lauden. He’ll be signing his novella CROSSWISE, released with Down & Out books.

We’ll talk about the novella in crime fiction, “surf noir” or “sunshine noir” stories, and why our covers look so badass (hint: we had the same graphic artist). And did I mention cupcakes?!

HARLAN COBEN AND I – THEN AND NOW

If you need a break from the Easter egg hunting and gorging on honeybaked ham, check out my post today on Writing Wranglers & Warriors. I talk about stalking Harlan Coben – okay, not really, because is it stalking if there’s 8 years in between?
